Portal mode with Radius

Captive Portal Mode with RADIUS Server

  1. Navigate to Security > Authentication > AAA Server.
  2. Click Add to open the Add Server dialog.
  3. Enter a Name, select Radius as the type, and configure RADIUS server parameters (Hostname, Port, and Pre-Shared Key). Click Apply.

!NOTE You must set up and configure your own RADIUS server beforehand and enter matching server details.

  1. Navigate to Networking > Wi-Fi.
  2. Click Setting to open the Setting dialog box.
  3. Go to the Authentication tab and click Add.
  4. Enter a Name.
  5. Select Portal mode and WPA-2 version.
  6. Select the RADIUS AAA server created earlier.
  7. Enter the Portal Redirection URL.
  8. Enter the Timeout value.

!NOTE Upon timeout, internet connection will be suspended until the user re-authenticates.

  1. Click Apply.

  1. Switch to the SSID tab.
  2. Select the portal-radius authentication profile for the target SSID.
  3. Click Apply.

  1. When clients connect to the OOS-2.4G-1 SSID, the OOS Wi-Fi Captive Portal login page will automatically appear.

  1. Enter the username and password.
  2. Upon successful authentication, the system will automatically redirect to the configured URL.

Captive Portal Mode with OOS Controller

  1. Navigate to Security > Authentication > AAA Server.
  2. Click Add to open the Add Server dialog.
  3. Enter a Name and select OOS Controller as the type.

  1. Navigate to Networking > Wi-Fi.
  2. Click Setting to open the Setting dialog box.
  3. Go to the Authentication tab and click Add.
  4. Enter a Name.
  5. Select Portal mode and WPA-2 version.
  6. Select the Controller AAA server.
  7. Enter the Portal Redirection URL.
  8. Enter the Timeout value.

!NOTE After timeout, internet access will be disabled until re-authentication.

  1. Click Apply.

  1. Log in to the OOS Controller management interface.

  1. Verify that the OOS device is provisioned and listed in the Inventory.

  1. Open the Auth Connect app.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter the Account Name and Password.

  1. Click Apply.

  1. Switch back to the SSID tab in OOS.
  2. Select the portal-Controller authentication profile.

  1. Click Apply.
  2. When clients connect to the BehindNAT-2.4G-2 SSID, the OOS Wi-Fi Captive Portal login page will appear.

  1. Enter the account credentials created in Auth Connect.
  2. Upon successful authentication, the user will be redirected automatically to the designated URL.
