LAN (Local Area Network)A local area network (LAN) is a collection of devices connected in the same physical location, such as a building, office, or home.
DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)A network management protocol used to assign IP addresses to devices automatically.
DNS (Domain Name System)The Domain Name System (DNS) is the Internet's system for mapping alphabetic names to numeric Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.
WAN (Wide Area Network)A wide area network (WAN) is a collection of local area networks (LANs) or other networks that communicate with each other.
NAT (Network Address Translation)Network Address Translation (NAT) is a process in which one or more local IP addresses are translated into one or more global IP addresses and vice versa to provide Internet access to local hosts.
Wi-FiWi-Fi is a wireless network protocol, based on the IEEE 802.11 standards, used for local area networks of devices and Internet access by exchanging data via radio waves.
SSID (Service Set Identifier)The wireless network name broadcast by a Wi-Fi service.
5G NSA (5G Non-Standalone)5G NSA refers to a combined network of 5G and 4G LTE, where 5G networks are deployed on the basis of existing 4G infrastructure.
5G SA (5G Standalone)5G SA is the standalone deployment of 5G where base stations, backhaul links, and core networks are all dedicated to 5G to maximize network performance.
ISP (Internet Service Provider)An ISP is a company that provides individuals and organizations with access to the Internet and related services.
IP (Internet Protocol)An IP address is a unique numerical label assigned to each device connected to a computer network that uses the Internet Protocol for communication.
IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity)IMEI is a unique numeric identifier for 3GPP and mobile phones, as well as satellite devices.
IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity)IMSI is a unique fifteen-digit number associated with GSM and UMTS network mobile phone users used to identify a subscriber.
RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power)The average power received from a single reference signal. A good RSRP is above -80 dBm, and a poor reading is generally below -100 dBm.
RSRQ (Reference Signal Received Quality)Indicates the quality of the received signal. A good RSRQ is above -15 dB, and a poor reading is generally below -20 dB.
RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indication)RSSI is a measurement of cellular signal strength. A good RSSI is above -65 dBm, and a poor reading is generally below -85 dBm.
RSCP (Received Signal Code Power)RSCP is used as a parameter to measure 3G signal coverage quality.
SNR (Signal-to-noise ratio)SNR compares the level of a desired signal to the level of background noise. A good SNR is above 13 dB, and a poor reading is generally below 0 dB.
VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network)A VLAN is a network topology that divides a single physical network into multiple logical networks to improve performance and security.
SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol)SMTP is a standard Internet protocol used for sending and relaying email messages between email servers.
SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol)SNMP provides a standardized framework for gathering information and managing network devices across an IP network.
CHAP (Challenge-Handshake Authentication Protocol)An authentication protocol used to secure communication between iSCSI initiators and targets by verifying identities.
IQN (iSCSI Qualified Name)A unique identifier used to name iSCSI devices on a network, ensuring distinguishable identity.
