Port Types
Version 2.0
Define the port type of ethernet port and Wi-Fi to be either WAN or LAN.
Mobile Network default to be WAN and cannot be re-setup port type.
Notification: Suggest reserving one ethernet port on the WAN and LAN. To make sure you can access OOS GUI by WAN and LAN management interfaces.
If the port type is setup as WAN, it supports functions including WAN Setting, Multiple WAN, WAN Binding, NAT, External Interface of Port Forwarding, Speedtest and Wi-Fi Client mode.
If the port type is setup as LAN, it supports functions including VLAN, DHCP Server, Wi-Fi AP mode and WAN Binding.

For Wi-Fi Interface
Wi-Fi is setup to be WAN, client mode will be enabled automatically.
Wi-Fi is setup to be LAN, AP mode will be enabled automatically.
Wi-Fi Client Mode Setting
Support two methods to connect to the SSID.
Method 1:

Go to Networking > WAN >Multiple WAN page.

Click “Edit” icon and Pop-up “WAN Setting” dialog box.

Choose one SSID and type password to associate to SSID to get an IP address.
Method 2:

Go to Networking > Wi-Fi page.

Click ”Setting“ button.

Choose one SSID and type password to associate to SSID to get an IP address.
Go to Wi-Fi (Client Mode) page. Show association information.
Wi-Fi AP Mode Setting
When Wi-Fi is setup to be LAN, AP mode will be enabled automatically, and Wi-Fi service is running for client association.
Setup Port Type as LAN

Step 1. Go to Networking > Forwarding > Port Type page.

Step 2. Select Wi-Fi (Client Mode) from WAN.

Step 3. Click “>” icon.

Step 4. Click “Apply” button.

Step 5. Go to Networking > Wi-Fi page.

Step 6. Display Wi-Fi (AP mode) page.
